BASSIST, COMPOSER, ARRANGER official website - myspace page
Born in Bridgeport Connecticut January 6, 1958.The day of the Three Kings . Parents Thomas and Altagrace Perez which rased me in a hard working & loving home with discipline and plenty of music . When I was 6 or 7 my Father owned a record shop and he would always have music on in the house. Being that the Televison was off I'd listen to the music and would be banging on my Tonka Truck as I hear the latin Music. After that I was given a guitar of which I used the back as a drum to get a nice sound. A while later I finally got some bongos and from there just played everyday. Then I felt like playing Timbales so, I got a set even joined a band " Sangre Latina" ( 1974 )from there at 15 was doing gigs at a club El Morro Cafe in Bpt. for $25 a night friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The band sounded great and was playing all the time until the Bass player left to Puerto Rico. The Manager Emillio Medina owner of the group had all the equipment so I told him to let me take the bass home to practice and I'll play bass in the band. Well after a month with the equipment we set up rehearsal and I played the Mess out of those songs on Bass and from there.... Well here I am!
