Santiago Ceron ,salsa singer,composer,sonero with smoky-voice was born in Santo Domingo (July 25/1940),graduated from Bellas Artes and Professional Singer of La Voz Dominicana(Radioemisora), relocated to New York City (1963) worked and recorded with the legendary Arsenio Rodriguez from 1964 to 1966. Guested on Pete Conde Rodriguez's conjunto was chorus singer.In collaboration with Tony Pabon y La Protesta recorded one Lp called " Salsa y Pimienta". Signed by Fania (1976/1980) was a singer chorus, guiro and maracas for Hector Lavoe, Adalberto Santiago. Went his solo career, on Mary Lou Records ,with musical direction Luis Perico Ortiz and fenomenal musicians Luis Mangual (bongo), Eddie Montalvo (conga),Charlie Rodriguez (tres), Eric figueroa (piano), Eddie "Guagua"Rivera (Bajo), Cachete Maldonado ,comp.Ramon Rodriguez, arrs.Louis Ramirez,Tito Nieves,Isidro Infante,Sonny Bravo,Marty Sheller: Abriendo Puertas,Navegando Con Sabor,Canta Si Va A Cantar. With Sabroso Records "Siempre Duro",mus. director Ramon Rodriguez and piano by Ramon Orlando Valoy.Latter in 1989 on Combo Records two albums:"La vecina" and "A Mi Manera. "Desde Santiago de Cali"(Fuentes)1990s.Under Leomar Racing Productions "Mi Campeon Jukin" (1994)were he pays tributed to his son Eddy."Homenaje al Gallero Palmasola"(1995)with productor musical,piano Roberto Navarro,Yomo Toro(cuantro), Raymond Castro & Milton Cardona(coros),Bomberito Zarzuela(trumpet).Made" Las Cuarenta"(1999)."Que Murmuren" on Exclusivo Records label.In 2005 made his own production "El Alacran"were participation of: Luis Mangual(Bongo),Chino Bolanos(Conga),Jose Mangual &Hector Casanova(chorus),Junior Vega(Trumpet),Sony Ovalle(Piano),Marco Gonzalez(Bass),Jorge Acevedo(piano),Cris Woswor (Trombone),Hector "Canita"Infante....Santiago Ceron called Mr.COOL is still singing with his passion for the cuban music and the boleros,for the people that like good music with sabor he has a new CD release titled CERON.

"CERON" is a project that expresses with faithful feeling by the Son Montuno our Sonero Antillano Santiago Ceron, with his smokie voice.

Elegant, full of flavor ERB RECORDS presents us this project "CERON", under the musical direction of Mr. Hector "Canita" Infante, arrangements of the Prize Latin Grammy Award Mr. Roberto Navarro and Mr. Ramon Chiripa Aracena.

"CERON" compiles ten musical pieces carefully selected of large composers, Mr. Miguel Matamoros, Mr. Alejandro Rodriguez, Mr. Ignacio Pineiro, Mr. Agustin Lara, Mr. July Brito, that evoke us a felling called “Son Montuno“.
