A nice rocking small band salsa
project from the West Coast, led by the singer and saxophonist
Robert Incelli.
Incelli sings fine, and the band rocks, and on one tune, the great
Oscar D’Leon shows up. When he suggests dancing, he’s not kidding,
with the tempos flying but relaxed. There’s a Colombian/Venezuelan
thing going on with the singing on the recording that’s distinct;
it’s all super casual and together, with Incelli overdubbing a
saxophone choir. It’s nice.
