The German percussionist Nils Fischer, with his debut disc, presents himself to the World Latin community with a truly excellent musical project.
“Gracias Joe Cuba” is substantially a musical tribute to the legendary Joe Cuba for a total of 17 tracks for which 3 a medley and 6 are radio edits.
The superb arrangements (in almost all of the tracks) from the great pianist Marc Bischoff and the precise execution and impeccable approach of a group of musicians from all around (from 10 countries) have given a glossing over to these old hits.
The participation to the project of the Cuban bassist Alain Perez, of the trumpeter from the U.S. Brian Lynch, from the Cuban timbalero Josè Pepe Espinosa, from the Cuban singer Fabian Nodarse “Huracan” and from the other great professionals of the sector give yet another guarantee to the quality of the music contained in this CD.
“El Hueso”, “Guaracha y Bembè” and “Cachondea” are a few tracks to signal here however, my personal favourite is “Bochinchosa”…for which the execution of the piece is simply WORLD BEATING!!!
A CD that will be talked about and that will remain in the case of many a DJ for a long time to come...

Il percussionista tedesco Nils Fischer, al suo esordio discografico, si presenta alla comunità latina mondiale con un progetto musicale veramente eccellente.
“Gracias Joe Cuba” è sostanzialmente un tributo musicale al leggendario Joe Cuba per un totale di 17 tracce di cui 3 medley e 6 Radio Edits.
I superbi arrangiamenti (nella quasi totalità dei brani) del bravo pianista Marc Bischoff e l’esecuzione precisa ed impeccabile di un gruppo di musicisti di grande levatura mondiale (provenienti da 10 paesi) hanno ridato smalto e nuova luce a questi vecchi successi del passato.
La partecipazione al progetto del bassista cubano Alain Perez, del trombettista Statunitense Brian Lynch, del timablero cubano Josè Pepe Espinosa, del cantante cubano Fabian Nodarse “Huracan” e di altri grandi professionisti del settore danno ulteriore garanzia sulla qualità musicale di questo CD.
“El Hueso”, “Guaracha y Bembè” e “Cachondea” sono tra i brani da segnalare ma il mio favorito è sicuramente “Bochinchosa”… la cui esecuzione è semplicentemente STREPITOSA!!
Un CD che farà parlare di se e che rimarrà nella valigia dei migliori Djs per molto tempo…
