review by Pietro Carbognani for WWW.VINILEMANIA.NET "Inglaterra" is the fifth CD from Alex Wilson, the composer and pianist from London. After having listened to his previous 4 CD’s it was really quite hard to foresee the content of this new production as, Alex Wilson is one of the few musicians, who are able to reinvent themselves. And whom always plays, at such high levels, different genres of music. With “Inglaterra” I can confirm that the great London pianist has not let us down. This is a CD that really is enjoyable. Original and rich with surprises that, in my humble opinion, is the crowning of Alex’s musical maturity. Salsa dura, Cuban Salsa, Latin Soul, Reggaeton and also a salsa with an oriental feel are all types of composition which can be found in these 9 tracks (of which, one is a remix). A CD that is capable of satisfying the more refined and experienced listener and also the DJ’s that love to put on some of the finest “Made in Europe” tracks during the evening. A CD that, together with, the previous production “Aventuras” (with however, more jazz accents) represents some of the best of my musical playlist on the radio and for which, I would wholeheartedly recommend the purchase of this disc. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
recensione di Pietro Carbognani per WWW.VINILEMANIA.NET "Inglaterra" è il quinto CD di Alex Wilson, compositore e pianista Londinese. Dopo aver ascoltato i precedenti quattro CDs era veramente difficile prevedere il contenuto di questa nuova produzione poichè Alex Wilson è uno di quei pochi musicisti in grado di rinnovarsi in continuazione e di suonare, sempre ad altissimi livelli, differenti generi di musica. E anche con "Inglaterra" il bravo pianista Londinese non ha tradito le aspettative. Un CD veramente piacevole, originale e ricco di sorprese che, a parere di chi scrive, è il coronamento della maturità musicale di Alex. Salsa Dura, Salsa Cubana, Latin Soul, Reggaeton ed anche una Salsa con sonorità orientali sono i generi musicali trattati nelle complessive nove tracce (di cui un remix) del CD in grado di soddisfare gli ascoltatori più esigenti e raffinanti nonchè i Djs che amano proporre nelle loro serate della musica di primissima qualità "Made in Europe". Un CD che insieme alla precedente produzione "Aventuras" (con accenti però più jazzistici) rappresentano al meglio la programmazione musicale della mia stazione radio e che pertanto non posso che consigliarne l'acquisto. VERY HIGLY RECOMMENDED
